Chef Nilay Lale
Chef Nilay Lale, born in Ankara in 1985, began her culinary journey while studying Agricultural Engineering in Fethiye. Her passion for gastronomy was sparked when she volunteered in the kitchen during her time as a barmaid. After graduating, she refined her skills at prestigious international hotel chains such as Swissotel, JW Marriott, and Mandarin Oriental, specializing in Indian, European, and Asian cuisines. Drawing inspiration from the rich traditions of Anatolian cuisine, she deepened her knowledge through travels across the region. In 2021, Chef Nilay became the Corporate Executive Chef for Khai Hotels, overseeing the kitchens of Tuzz Restaurant, Opaque, and Opaque by The Sea. Her philosophy centers on sustainability, honoring ancient recipes, and using local, seasonal ingredients.
